Farid Rueda was born in Morelos, officially known as the Free and Sovereign State of Morelos. Mexican pride is deeply rooted in these lands, so it's not surprising to see how much affection this artist has for his country. When young Farid was nine, his family moved to Xochimilco in Mexico City. This was a crucial moment in his development, as the move meant that Rueda had a lot more art available to him - Xochimilco offered many more galleries and art institutions. He entered the famous ENAP (Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas or National School of Visual Arts).

Over the years, Rueda has worked alongside some very famous fellow graffiti artists, such as Saner and LeSuperDemon. Combining the styles of these visionaries gave us some extremely interesting results and pieces that were lucky enough to have the best of each author combined inside. Whatever project Farid was working on, the main feature of the colour was never in question. It is undoubtedly his best-known trademark. It is worth noting that Farid Rueda is part of the non-gallery movement and does not believe that graffiti should ever be removed and put into museums or the like. This would be tantamount to destroying the pieces, as if you wanted to amputate an arm and expect it to live on. Such actions also destroy a vital part of graffiti's identity - it changes its relationship with its viewers. Rueda once said: When my work is exhibited in galleries, people are instantly ‘programmed’ to believe that what they see is art - even if sometimes they don't understand it. It's different in the street, the critics are all over the world and the artists can connect with all the viewers, beyond their tastes and knowledge of the subject, and that's the greatest compliment in this line of work.
