The moments we experience, the people we meet and the places we pass through all leave their mark on our memories. But this passing past, whether nostalgic or factual, suffers the ravages of memory: it is altered, blurred, amalgamated or evaporated. NEAN's most personal works focus on this issue of time, on these little arrangements with the story of our lives, for a little more good or a little less bad. The wall as a support perfectly embraces this relationship with time, with its ageing and decrepitude, which are never oblivion; or with the amalgam of interventions which, even under the strata, keeps the trace of their presence. Born in 1991, NEAN lives and works in Brussels.

"The idea behind this work is to pay tribute to Cybèle and Poliade, two figures present in the arena of the battle known as Lumeçon. Beyond its purely decorative aspect, this fresco is an opportunity to salute a living folklore that welcomes the idea of evolving and reinventing itself."
