Saint-Denis Surreal / Alessandra Carloni
Rue de la Brisée - 7034 Saint-Denis

The artist gave us an interpretation of his work: ‘In this work, I made reference to the Abbey of Saint-Denis in Mons, interpreting the structure in a surrealist way. I took the details of the arch and tower that are part of the abbey, as well as the old mill, and imagined them as suspended on a layer of flying earth. The protagonist of the image is the element of water, which flows from the hands of the figure at the top (a symbolism of my style) down to the mill.’
