Collin van der Sluijs is a renowned painter and illustrator from Maastricht in the Netherlands, where he lives and works. He started creating graffiti at the age of 11 and at the age of 12 Collin van der Sluijs attended the traditional painting school in Goes, the Netherlands, where he studied the techniques and theory of (traditional) painting.

Collin van der Sluijs graduated in 1996 and was then accepted for a 4-year course in painting and graphic design at St.Lucas in Boxtel, the Netherlands.

After graduating from St. Lucas in 2000, Collin attended the St. Joost Art Academy in Breda, the Netherlands, where he studied illustration for 4 years and obtained a bachelor's degree in 2004.

He is widely recognised for his extraordinary dream-like depictions of everyday stories that challenge our personal pleasures and struggles, as well as society in general.

Collin's exceptional work has been published in magazines and books, and exhibited in galleries around the world, including the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, the UK, Spain and the USA.

Collin van der Sluijs' first solo exhibition at Vertical Gallery in Chicago was a huge success when all of his artwork was sold at the show in May 2016.
