Très beau hotel et très bien situé et environnement agréable
I stayed at Utopia for one night travelling from Denmark to France. I chose it due to being out of town, reasonably priced, car charging facilities and next to the motorway. Upon arrival the car park is not well maintained but functional as a car park. The charging stations are not easily visible or a kind that I’ve used before - so unfortunately they weren’t of benefit. Check in - very helpful and pleasant staff, no extra fees, everything explained 9/10 Rooms - perfectly fine. Yes they could do with a revamp, bit of paint here and there. but it was clean, bed was comfortable and the AirCon worked (it was 30c outside). Some quick wins for the rooms - I had two very soft pillows. I would suggest that they improve the pillow quality. Easy to buy, easy to please! The restaurant is the shining beacon of this hotel. Having read other negative reviews I was slightly concerned. However, from the service to the food presentation was EXCELLENT. I’m not a native French speaker and all staff were accustomed to that, the menu itself is well structured and consistent. I opted for the special starter of veal and tuna sauce (classic Italian dish) and it was one of the best I’ve had. For main I had a ribeye steak and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly. I wish I wasn’t too full so I could try the dessert. Breakfast - not such a huge selection but fine for breakfast. But surroundings in the forest are great and the garden has a pool etc but also a play area for kids Overall the experience vs some of the reviews far surpassed them.
Run. I left an extensive review on other platforms. Long story short: they don’t clean. The rooms are gross and IF they were cleaned, they would still be mediocre because of the outdated and worn out furniture, mattress and pillows, old restrooms. Don’t pay before you see the room you get and don’t get their breakfast, it’s very low quality while expensive. I wish we didn’t pay and left but we payed so stayed and after changing two rooms (dirty and broken), we got a room that had heating not working and basically no lights left working but the bedside table ones. Miserable weekend
