Een ode aan de natuur door de werken van grote meesters
Deze unieke tentoonstelling draait rond het werk van de Britse schilder David Hockney, in harmonie met de universele thema’s die Mahler verkent: de natuur als bron van leven, inspiratie en bezinning tegenover de menselijke conditie.
In dialoog met Hockney ontdekken bezoekers meesterwerken van Vincent van Gogh, Edvard Munch, Constantin Meunier en een selectie symbolistische kunstenaars. Hun gevoelige en poëtische landschappen weerspiegelen de seizoenscyclus en de melancholie van de vergankelijkheid – centrale thema’s van de symfonie.
