It has now become the specialist ceramics centre of the Mons-Borinage region and the departments of Nord and Pas-de-Calais.The collections belonging to the Musée de Nimy cover 3 main themes:

  • The most famous earthenware and porcelain factories of the Mons region, the Borinage, and part of northern France
  • A collection of clay pipes from Nimy, Maisières, and Mons, as well as tobacco-related objects
  • Objects relating to Nimy’s main industries and local folklore.
