A transformed and welcoming space

Closed for several years due to vandalism, the park reopened its doors in 2015, on the occasion of Mons being the European Capital of Culture. Thanks to an international association, wooden facilities were built: covered areas, kitchen, shower, toilets... These installations provide a practical and friendly space where visitors can walk, sit, and enjoy this true little urban forest.

A nonprofit association of local citizens, neighbors, and garden enthusiasts was formed to bring this garden to life. Their mission? To encourage and organize various activities: playful, cultural, and friendly events.
