Guided tour: Montois(es) Superstars

During this tour you will be guided on a journey in time of the dynamism of Mons, on a discovery of crazy or well thought bets, won or lost by passionated inventors, convinced idealists or pragmatic engineers, who all helped change the look of the city and its surroundings.Those Montois and Montoises have marked their time and distinguished themselves in fields as diverse as astronomy, botany, mathematics, engineering or music. Some, like Roland de Lassus, were stars of their era and their fame transcends time. Many others remained virtually unknown to the general public, but still have changed the world in their own way. Although History forgets a lot of them, let us today talk about some Montois and Montoises who climbed to the rank of «Superstar» because all had large-scale ideas and had the audacity to invent, the bravery to believe in their ideals and beliefs.
