The "House of the Marsh" (Maison du Marais) offers visitors an insight into Vincent van Gogh's daily life during his stay in the Borinage from December 1878 to October 1880. Within these walls, Van Gogh, as a self-taught artist, took his first steps into the world of art. Don't miss: reproductions of his works created during his time there, his literary preferences, his correspondence, and the atmospheric room furnished with period decor.

Love Van Gogh's story and art. This experience gave a real insight into the man and who was. Magical ✨️✨️
Intéressant pour tout fan de van gogh mais très très petit
interessant museumpje; verblijfplaats van Vincent van Gogh, als lekenprediker in de Borinage. Hij ontdekte daar zijn echte roeping: schilderen.
Rude staff who were talking and giggling about my pregnant partner. Accused us of fasley parking in disabled bay. The house is very poor, you pay to watch a 1 hour long YouTube video and look around 1 room and some signs outside. The house is not even Van Gogh's actual house. Not worth visiting at all.
