This day begins with a guided tour of the historic heart and the Treasure of the Collegiate Church of Saint Waltrude, rich in pieces of goldsmithery, sculptures and precious relics. Afterwards, you will head to the Notre-Dame à la Rose Hospital in Lessines, a former mediaeval hospital that houses a unique museum, preserving the art of medicine from the past and the history of care for the most disadvantaged. An enriching day, combining art, history and spirituality, ideal for heritage enthusiasts!
Programme of the excursion:
- 10am Welcome at visitMons (Grand-Place, 27 - 7000 Mons)
- 10.15am Guided tour of the Historical Heart and the Treasure of Saint Waltrude Collegiate Church
- 12.15pm Lunch in a restaurant in the city center or the region
- 2.30pm Departure for Lessines aboard the coach of the group
