A surprise menu to awaken your senses

Forget the traditional menu: try the chef’s signature "Les Yeux Fermés" (2, 3 or 4 courses, between €35 and €50), a surprise tasting experience that changes monthly with the seasons.

Prefer something more casual? Go for the homemade vegetarian burger, generous, flavourful and seasonally inspired.

Each dish is a creative composition: homemade kimchi, fermented vegetables, Asian or Oriental inspirations… Chef Benoît Gillet dares to mix bold flavours with finesse, celebrating the full potential of plant-based cooking.


A responsible and committed kitchen

Everything is homemade, using ingredients from local, often organic producers, with many items sourced directly from the restaurant’s own garden. From bread to sauces and fermentations – every detail is crafted with respect for nature and flavour.

The chef also shares his passion through monthly cooking workshops, on topics such as lacto-fermentation, vegetarian street food, or illusion-based culinary techniques.


A friendly atmosphere in a timeless place

The dining room is elegant yet cosy, featuring wood, stone and natural light. In fine weather, the terrace offers a serene moment in the countryside.

Un ravissement des papilles de la mise en bouche au dessert. Tout est parfait : cuissons maîtrisées, produits qualitatifs, locaux et de saison, présentation artistique, la rigueur et la maîtrise au rendez-vous de chaque bouchée. Déjà impatiente de revenir parce que chez vous, se régaler sans cruauté est un voyage des sens magique.

If you're looking for something truly special in Belgium, L'Atelier des Alchimistes in Givry is an absolute must. The concept is brilliant: a blind tasting menu built entirely around local, seasonal, fully vegetarian ingredients — and the fun is in guessing what you're eating. We opted for 3 courses, but go for 4! This place completely blew us away. The dishes were prepared in ways we never could have imagined — each dish more inventive than the last. The cooking is Michelin-star worthy. The server and chef were warm, passionate, and made the whole experience feel genuinely special. If you haven't been, go. And if you have — you already know!

Tucked away in a charming area of Belgium, is one of those rare gems that rewards anyone willing to seek it out. Don't let the unassuming setting fool you — this place packs a serious culinary punch. The fully vegetarian and vegan tasting menu is a masterclass in creativity from the very first bite to the last. Every course is thoughtfully composed, but what truly sets this kitchen apart is the gap between what lands on the plate and what lands on the palate — the two are entirely different experiences, and both are extraordinary. Dishes that look almost sculptural reveal layers of flavor you simply don't see coming. Perhaps most impressive of all is that this entire experience is orchestrated by just two people. The passion and precision behind every plate is palpable, and it makes the whole evening feel personal in a way that larger establishments rarely manage. For me, this is the finest food I have eaten in Belgium to date — a bold claim, and one I make without hesitation. If you care about what's on your plate, make the trip. You won't regret it.

Une magnifique première expérience dans ce restaurant Produits frais et locaux travaillés avec soin et précisions Des recettes épatantes et une carte à l'aveugle rendant l'expérience plus Interactive où l'on y essaye de deviner les ingrédients Je recommande les yeux fermés PS: petit plus concernant le pain fait maison ainsi que le beurre aux poireaux
