DAY 1: the must-sees!

Your experience begins at the Mons Belfry, the only Baroque belfry in Belgium listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views over the city and its surroundings before discovering its immersive museum experience.

Continue your journey at the MUNDANEUM, a fascinating place dedicated to the history of knowledge and information. Often regarded as the “ancestor of the Internet,” this archive and exhibition centre offers a unique and enriching visit.

In the afternoon, immerse yourself in local traditions at the Doudou Museum. Through interactive displays, iconic objects and personal accounts, explore the story of the famous Ducasse of Mons, recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

To end the day, hop on your bike and follow the “🚲 In the Footsteps of UNESCO Heritage” route, connecting several iconic World Heritage sites.

DAY 2: exploring the Mons region by bike

After breakfast, hop on your bike and set off to discover the region’s many treasures.

Follow the “In the Footsteps of Van Gogh in the Borinage” cycling route, which takes you through the landscapes where the famous painter lived and drew inspiration during his time in the Borinage. Along the way, explore a region where industrial heritage, charming villages, nature and history blend harmoniously.

Continue your journey with a guided visit of , a masterpiece of European industrial architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This former mining complex, now a cultural hub, stands as one of the key highlights of Walloon heritage.

Back in Mons, let yourself be guided by trail. On foot or by bike, this artistic itinerary invites you to discover murals, sculptures and contemporary installations scattered throughout the public space.

DAY 3: in the heart of the vineyards!

For your final day, head south of the Mons region to discover another side of the territory: its wine-growing heritage.

Follow the “🚲 From Eole to Rufus: a ride through the vineyards”, a cycling route linking two iconic wine estates in Hainaut. This ride takes you through rolling landscapes, country lanes and unexpected viewpoints that highlight the growing development of viticulture in the region.

Along the way, stop at , one of the largest vineyards in Belgium, for a guided tour in the heart of the estate. Accompanied by a passionate guide, go behind the scenes to discover the different stages of sparkling wine production and the story of this family project that has become a benchmark for wine tourism in Belgium.

The visit ends with a tasting session, offering a delicious final highlight to perfectly round off your stay.
