Nestled in the Colfontaine state forest, this walk invites you to follow the Elwasmes stream, which you will even have the pleasure of crossing on foot. Along the way, you will pass several emblematic and mysterious sites:

  • The Cave du R’mite, a Gallo-Roman remnant steeped in history
  • The Cerisier spring, peaceful and natural
  • The Colfontaine stream, discreet and enchanting
  • The Tour du Lait Buré, a former guinguette with a surprising history
  • And finally, the enigmatic Baraque à Ramons, where nature, geology and working-class memory meet

Don’t recognise these names? That’s precisely what makes this walk so captivating! Information panels along the route reveal the secrets of each site.

An educational and community-driven initiative

This trail was designed by the Municipality of Colfontaine and its Children’s Council, with the support of the Hauts-Pays Natural Park. A great opportunity to raise awareness of nature, local heritage and forest history.
