Then dive into history by visiting the Maison Van Gogh de Wasmes, an iconic place where Vincent van Gogh lived his “companionship” with the miners of the region.
It is in this house in Colfontaine, one of the few remaining traces of Van Gogh’s presence in the Borinage, that he developed the themes of his earliest drawings, inspired by the life and daily routines of mining workers.
