Following in Van Gogh's footsteps in the Borinage

default textLaudys Daie

From Mons' Grand-Place to Cuesmes, via the former "Marcasse" colliery in Colfontaine, discover Mons-Borinage and the various places where Vincent van Gogh lived and worked in the region. It was during his time in the Borinage and Mons that Vincent van Gogh made the transition from preacher to artist. It was here that he developed his preference for motifs from the daily lives of peasants and workers.
