Starting from the heart of Mons, this route takes you to the Château d’Havré, an elegant medieval remnant, and to the Saint-Symphorien Military Cemetery, an international memorial site with a deeply reflective atmosphere.

The route also leads to the Neolithic flint mines of Spiennes, an exceptional UNESCO World Heritage site and a unique testimony to humanity’s earliest mining activities.

You will also cross typical landscapes of the Borinage region all the way to Héribus, a striking and unusual site, passing by the Van Gogh House in Cuesmes, which recalls the painter’s early years in the region.

The circuit also includes the Jardin des Expositions, a leisure area in the city center, and Mons railway station, a symbol of architectural and urban renewal.

A complete loop combining heritage, culture and landscapes, ideal for discovering Mons and its surroundings in a different way, along peaceful paths and emblematic sites.
