This restaurant sits on the terrace of Place Croix. This square instantly brings holidays in the south to mind, it's the only terrace with such a special atmosphere, straight out of southern Italy or France. You feel so good here that you make the most of the moment, even if you're not actually going on holiday: here, the holidays come to you.

Rue de la Coupe, 25 - 7000 Mons

This restaurant has a small terrace, which you'd definitely not expect when walking in. It's small, but so charming that it makes for a wonderful time. Located on rue de la Coupe, this restaurant serves bistronomic cuisine that lets you enjoy both the gastronomy of Mons and our city. Don't leave without trying its fascinating cheese trolley.

L'Instant C

8, rue d'Enghien - 7000 Mons

For a few years now, this restaurant has featured a raised pop-up terrace during the sunny season, adding a summery touch to owner Céline's dishes. We're just steps from the Grand-Place of Mons, yet tucked away on a quiet, hidden street. Calm and fine dining await, with beautifully crafted plates. On your way out, we highly recommend a short digestive stroll through the Mayeur garden.

20, rue de la Coupe - 7000 Mons

For over 20 years, this restaurant on rue de la Coupe has been a Mons institution. People come for owner Tony's authenticity, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, consistently excellent food, and a terrace enjoyed just as much at lunch as in the evening. Here, you'll enjoy tapas-style cuisine. Not just simple tapas, but true gourmet tapas, carefully crafted. With L'Envers right next door, both spots often fill up completely. Tapas let you taste a bit of everything, share a great moment, and enjoy colourful table settings.

Grand-Place, 5 - 7000 Mons

One of the last restaurants left on the Grand-Place of Mons. This restaurant has a lovely terrace, ideally located to watch Mons' big events (Mons en Lumière, Festival du Printemps, Doudou, Destination Mons, Foire d'automne, Christmas Market…). Inside, it also offers a modern, unconventional setting, with colourful decor that adds a real spark to the Grand-Place.

Le Quai 5 (Van der Valk Mons)

Avenue Melina Mercouri, 7b - 7000 Mons

This is one of the largest terraces in Mons, not to mention the bright veranda that keeps you from feeling boxed in. It offers a different view of Mons — the belfry, of course, but also the new Mons train station. This restaurant serves family-style cuisine to please everyone. Easy to access, it also has a large underground car park, which comes in very handy.
