Artist residency around Vincent van Gogh and the exhibition “The Song of the Earth”

As part of the exhibition “David Hockney. The Song of the Earth”, the museum is hosting an artist residency entrusted to Emmy Bergsma. Inspired by the legacy of Vincent van Gogh and the theme of landscape, the artist develops a body of work in which nature and memory intertwine.

This residency extends the dialogue initiated by the exhibition: like Hockney, Van Gogh, and Munch, Emmy Bergsma explores the expressive power of landscape and how it reflects our emotions and our relationship with time. Her creations, presented at the Maison des Collections and later at the Maison Van Gogh in Cuesmes, offer a contemporary and sensitive perspective on this universal bond between humanity and nature.
