The countdown is on! From 6 to 31 December 2025, the city of Mons will shine in its most beautiful lights for the 21st edition of Mons Cœur en Neige 💫

Three magical hubs await you to experience a truly enchanting Christmas in the heart of the Doudou city:

Grand-Place: The Traditional Christmas Village

Mons’ Grand-Place will be illuminated and transformed into a magical Christmas Village. Over 50 chalets await you with artisan gifts, gourmet treats, and hospitality specialties, in a festive atmosphere of seasonal music, lights, and scents.

Place Léopold: The Ice Rink and Its New Christmas Market

Place Léopold in Mons welcomes you for a magical Christmas with its 600 m² ice rink and new Christmas market.

Accessible to all, the ice rink offers skate rental included, double-blade skates for children, and skating seats for people with reduced mobility (PRM).
Prices: €5/hour for children under 12, €9/hour for those 12 and older.

At the foot of the rink, around fifteen traditional chalets await you with artisan gifts, gourmet treats, and light meals in a friendly and illuminated atmosphere.
Also enjoy the Christmas Luna Park, the large illuminated Christmas tree, and the famous “I ❤️ Mons” lettering for a full festive experience.

Between winter sports, Christmas shopping, and enchanting decorations, Mons invites you to experience the magic of the holidays with your family on its brand-new Place Léopold.

Marché aux Herbes: Christmas Market and Illuminated Sky 2025

NEW IN 2025! From 6 to 31 December 2025, the Marché aux Herbes transforms into a magical Christmas market, creating a festive atmosphere in the heart of Mons.

What to expect:

Central bar and traditional wooden chalets
Illuminated sky and enchanting decorations for a full Christmas immersion
Varied entertainment throughout the period for children and adults

The Marché aux Herbes offers a family-friendly and magical experience, perfect for strolling, warming up with a hot chocolate, and discovering local gifts and treats in a magical setting.

🚂 The Enchanted Christmas Train, new in 2025
Free and accessible to all, the Enchanted Christmas Train connects the three iconic sites of Mons Cœur en Neige: 👉 Grand-Place, Place Léopold, and Marché aux Herbes.
Running on 6, 7, 10, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 27, and 28 December from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A wonderful way to discover illuminated Mons with family or friends!

Throughout December, enjoy free street performances, festive fanfares, stilt walkers, light shows, and Christmas concerts.
Highlights: BE HOP – opening light show (6 Dec), Santa’s Descent from the Belfry (13 Dec), Torchlight Walks (13 & 21 Dec), Elysium – pyrotechnic show on the Grand-Place (20 Dec), New Year’s Eve (31 Dec from 10 p.m.) …

🛍️ Shopping districts
Downtown shops will be open on 7, 14, and 21 December, and also on 4 January 2026.
