A very weird hotel visit for sure. The shape of the room was a bit like the letter L, with a tiny twin bed, very difficult to maneuver with luggage. The toilet in the bathroom opens up to the bedroom, so feng shui is not good at all. The lights in the bathroom only work over the sink, so every shower is in the dark unless you take a shower in the daytime. I expected more than 1 coffee and 1 teabag for my 3-night stay, but maybe I didnt ask at the front desk. The price was decent for Mons, and I actually thought the location was a decent 10-min walk from downtown and 20-22 minute walk from the train station (there is also a bus). I appreciated the nice bottle of cold water on the super hot day I arrived. The elevator did not always work, so just be ready to take the rather narrow creaky stairs. Not sure I would recommend this place, sad to say... maybe too many cons for a truly comfortable visit. Service, I would say the people I met were actually friendly and helpful, but maybe my expectations for drinks in the room were too high?
