Excursion: On the trail of the Doudou

Once a year, during the weekend of Trinity, all the people of Mons go into a frenzy to celebrate the traditional Ducasse known as the Doudou. In 2005 the celebration was recognised by UNESCO. Today, this oral and intangible heritage is more alive than ever. Follow the trail of Saint George and Saint Waltrude. It will take you through some of the most emblematic sites of the city’s architectural and artistic patrimony.

• 10am Welcome at visitMons
• 10.15am Guided tour on the trail of the Doudou
• 12.30pm Lunch in a restaurant in the city center
• 2.30pm Unguided or guided tour of the Doudou Museum
• 4pm End of the programme
