Eigentlich ist Lucy ja ein kleines Mädchen. Genauer gesagt, die Tochter des französischen Bildhauers David Mesguich. Umso erstaunter ist man, wenn man die silbern glänzende Skulptur in dem kleinen Park vor der mächtigen Saint-Waudru-Kathedrale besucht. Mit einer Höhe von 7 Metern zieht sie die Blicke der Passanten sofort auf sich. Vergeblich sucht man dann die Schmetterlinge an dem "Lucy and the Butterflies" benannten Kunstwerk. Stattdessen sieht man eine Schere in der Hand des Mädchens. Lucy wird doch nicht etwa die Insekten mit dem Werkzeug ...
