It was during his stay in the Borinage, from December 1878 to October 1880, that Vincent van Gogh, after a failed attempt at becoming an evangelist, decided to become the artist we all know and admire. This guided tour aboard your own coach will allow you to discover the area around Mons and the different sites where the artist set foot.
The visits to the Van Gogh House in Cuesmes and that of Wasmes are included in the tour.

Johan a été notre guide pour une visite insolite de Mons, ce vendredi 23 mai. C’était incroyable de découvrir tous ces petits coins méconnus de notre ville ! De surprise en surprise, d’anecdote en anecdote, nous avons fait une balade de 2 heures en écoutant Johan, passionné par l’histoire de sa ville. C’est un guide exceptionnel !

Ich hoffe, dass dieser Platz ausreicht, um das Wesen der Stadt Mons widerzuspiegeln, da es unmöglich ist, unter der Stadt eine Bewertung zu hinterlassen. Abgesehen von der Weigerung, ein Fahrrad zur Verfügung zu stellen (ich stimme zu, es war spät), aber die Einheimischen und die Polizei waren sehr unhöflich, sind die Schweizer im Vergleich dazu freundliche Menschen ohne einen Tropfen Arroganz. Die Polizei beschloss zu fragen, warum der Mann auf die Öffnung des Bahnhofs wartete und nicht am Bahnhof war. Vielleicht weil es geschlossen ist? Warum können wir dem Reisenden gegenüber kein Verständnis zeigen? Vielleicht sollte er vertrieben werden? Warum riecht alles nach Gras? Weil das Gras Sie vor der Hoffnungslosigkeit des Lebens in dieser Stadt rettet? Die größte Enttäuschung waren die Einheimischen. Man kann die Mängel der Stadt ignorieren, aber nicht die ihrer Bewohner. Upd: Dieses Zentrum und das Militärmuseum waren die einzigen, wo sie versucht haben, mir zu helfen, alles andere... Nun ja... Keine meiner Allegorien wird von irgendeinem Übersetzer korrekt übersetzt
