It also features meeting rooms, a parking area for bikes/motorbikes, and a warm welcome. A bright and affordable place, ideal for a "Chic and affordable" stay.
With 115 beds divided into 29 rooms, Mons’ youth hostel is a lovely place to stay, with wooden bunk beds and separate WCs, sinks and shower rooms. The youth hostel lets you choose between renting a bed in a dormitory or a private room. Either way, you can have breakfast and linen free of charge. The hostel also has three well-equipped multipurpose meeting rooms: TV-VCR, overhead projector, screen, flipchart, telephone and Internet (wifi).
The hostel also has its own private car park.
Mons’ youth hostel enjoys a fantastic location near the Grand-Place and not far from the station. It’s packed with personality, thanks to the work put into it by architect Jean Barthélémy. On the corner of Rue des Gades and Rue des Clercs, at the bottom of Belgium’s only baroque belfry, the youth hostel is open 7 days a week from 7.30am until 10pm. It’s an architectural triumph, which means that light reflects from every wall. This brightness is soothing and backed up by staff who are just as warm and welcoming. Everything is designed to make sure you have a great night. This attention to detail demonstrates the quality reflected in the hotel’s motto: “Chic et pas cher” (Chic and cheap). You won’t be disappointed!
The reception is open from 7:30am to 10pm every day (reduced hours may apply on Sundays and public holidays).

On a eu deux chambres, la première tout était parfait mais quand on est arrivé dans la deuxième chambre dès la première nuits on a eu des boutons partout sur les jambes et sur les bras, on soupçonne les punaises de lit

2 nights here in Mons, in a 4bedder. It would be an upward climb from the train station to the youth hostel. Easy climb for the person but the luggage, haha... rattles along the cobbled unpaved and uneven streets. Lovely to wander on though. The hostel is by the belfry so its a beautiful sight everyday as you're walking out. Location - citycentre i suppose. Walkable everywhere. :) a very charming place to be in and to wander about. Hostel itself... The room is not spacious but its not a dead squeeze. Ensuite toilette and shower, separate which is great! I love how they look though, if you can imagine, castle tower style. Lol. They are definitely very clean. Shower area is small but functional. Consistent hot water. There's hooks, space to put your clothes. #like Sufficient charging points too. Total of 3 pax in the room on those 2 nights. All's good, everyone very mindful of space and was courteous. Kitchen is always locked just so to ensure cleanliness and use only for hostel guests. U can always ask the reception staff to open the space. There's a fridge to store your items. Pots pans plates bowls cooking oil pepper salt, all there. Wash up after you're done. Common space to use - u can read, play table tennis etc there. Sizable area to hang around. Overall... i had a great stay.. Oh. 3 floors high.. no common public elevator. Free breakfast too! And big on recycling too. Like. Ouhh they very kindly lend me a fan too. :)
