This small coffee shop/lunch spot serves delicious bagels at midday. You’ll find some must-try classics, along with a monthly special.
☕ Tip: don’t hesitate to reserve your bagel to make sure you get one!

Texas Coffee

Rue de la Chaussée 37, 7000 Mons

In the pedestrian area, this place offers generous savoury waffles with unmistakably American names. A unique concept in Mons that’s become very popular. And who could say no to a nice coffee alongside this tasty treat? ☕️

Season’s

Rue Notre-Dame 2, 7000 Mons

This salad bar will delight you with gourmet suggestions or the option to build your own salad. They also offer soups in autumn and winter, as well as quiches, focaccia, and ciabatta.
☀️ In summer, the terrace is lovely, located in one of the most beautiful streets of Mons — the one with the colourful cobblestones!
🍹 Drink tip: the homemade iced teas are excellent.

Mémé tartines

Rue de la Coupe 40, 7000 Mons

At Mémé Tartine, you’ll enjoy delicious sandwiches 🥪. But beware: these are not just simple sandwiches, they’re hearty and truly satisfying 😋. Each tartine even has its own name (Mémé at the market, Mémé in the forest, Mémé the traveller…). They also offer spianata, buns, and soups. The terrace is especially pleasant thanks to the pedestrian street 🌿.

Surfside Poké

Grand'rue 4, 7000 Mons

If you love poké bowls, this place will tick all the boxes 🥢. Located right in the middle of the pedestrian zone, it instantly transports you into a Hawaiian vibe for a total escape 🌺. A perfect location for this kind of eatery, often visited by local shopkeepers and students. The terrace is just as nice as the beautifully decorated interior.

Le Pain Quotidien

Rue d'Havré 10, 7000 Mons

A safe bet for lunch — whether you’re in the mood for a toast, soup, or quiche 🥗. It has a Pain Quotidien feel, warm and homely ☕. A cosy place, just the way I like it.

Here’s a healthy spot I’m happy to introduce, located in our brand-new Mons train station 🚉. You’ll find plenty of choice: soups, quiches, sandwiches, and other daily delights 🥗. Different options are available depending on the time of day. You’ll enjoy healthy food at fair prices, along with a lovely view of Léopold Square ☀️. A refreshing addition to Mons’ new dynamic!

Saint-Douiche

Rue des archers 43 , 7000 Mons

This is, in my opinion, the best sandwich place in town 🥪. A simple sandwich shop? Not really — everything is homemade or sourced from local markets, and that makes all the difference.
My favourites: the Caesar or the Fitness… tough choice ❤️. Ideally located near UMons and city services, with easy parking nearby 🚗.
PS: don’t miss the cookies 🍪 — they’re incredible (Maurine Géron’s!).

Crêpe à papa

Rue d'Havré 5 , 7000 Mons

Why not have lunch in a crêperie? This place offers sweet and savoury crêpes… or both! 🥞 It’s a modern, tastefully decorated establishment, just steps from the Grand-Place.

La Guinguette montoise

Avenue d'Hyon 69, 7000 Mons

Perfect for people working nearby who want a quick bite by car 🚗. You’ll find sandwiches, paninis, salads, and other specials 🥗. You can eat inside or enjoy their lovely terrace on sunny days ☀️.
